The Lange Park Residents Association (LAPRA) is a non-governmental, non-profit organization with the mission to make Lange Park the best residential community in Trinidad and Tobago. LAPRA serves to promote: peace, happiness and tolerance among residents; enjoyment of life and property; cleanliness and physical enhancement; the improvement of the social and economic welfare of members and residents; loyalty to the community and the establishment of Lange Park as a model residential area.
Over the years LAPRA has sought the welfare of all residents. Its members have worked tediously to keep Lange Park the beautiful, healthy community we know it to be. They have sought to maintain Lange Park as a residential community by counteracting attempts to use the park for commercial purposes, providing entertainment and recreational opportunities for residents, building community development and aiding in the physical development of Lange Park, alleviating traffic congestion and other safety hazards, facilitating the usage of jogging/ walking tracks as well as counteracting simple inconveniences such as gushing water lines and insisting on proper garbage disposal.
LAPRA members strive to give back to the community in order to make it a better place. Executive and loyal members look after the welfare of the community and plan, organize and coordinate most of the effort and activities conducted in the park in the collective interest of its residents.
Monthly meetings are held on the first Monday of every month, at the Montrose Government Primary School at 7:00 p.m. Each resident needs to see the potential within himself/ herself to give back to the community by helping to improve it and make the decisions which affect it and themselves by extension.
